This webinar explores how government organisations can get more value from the information they already hold by making better use of unstructured data, connecting isolated systems, and improving governance.

We’ll look at practical ways to turn large volumes of documents, emails, records and case files into usable insight, helping staff spend less time searching for information and more time making informed decisions.

The session also explains how a connected or “federated” approach can make information accessible across legacy systems and departmental silos—without complex migrations and while still respecting departmental independence.

Attendees will see how better‑connected information leads to faster case handling, more accurate decisions and improved digital services, reducing manual effort and supporting better outcomes for citizens.

Finally, the webinar covers how stronger information management reduces risk, controls information sprawl, supports FOI responses, protects sensitive data and prepares organisations for future interoperability and data‑governance standards.

Host

Public Sector Executive

Experienced TV and Radio presenter and reporter and podcast host, recently gone freelance after many years as staff at the BBC.

Most recently I've presented BBC TV's Rugby League World Cup coverage, and hosted the 5Live Rugby League World Cup podcast. I was also the the pitch side reporter on a number of games including doing the interviews with the victorious wheelchair team for radio. For the women's games I played a key role in bringing together an all female on air team and we got record viewing figures for women's rugby league, which will hopefully prove to be a new platform for the game to build.

Host of the former weekly BBC highlights programme Super League Show.

Sports Reporter and presenter for BBC Look North in Yorkshire, reporting, planning and covering all different sports in the region.

I've covered two Olympic Games and one Commonwealth Games - 2012 was a very big career highlight. I found myself live on BBC1 interviewing Peter Wilson moments after he'd claimed old in the shooting.

I've hosted numerous awards ceremonies, conferences and panels, both sporting and non sporting.

I'm always looking for new opportunities to do new things, and challenge myself!

Having worked across large, cross organisational programmes, such as the national Troubled Families Programme and the development of Primary Care Networks, Zahra has experience of both building programmes from the ground up as well as taking poor performing programmes and driving through to success. Data and performance management has been a golden thread throughout a number of programmes Zahra has managed, using data for both performance reporting but also to drive through service improvement to support populations changing needs. Recently, managing a Housing Demand programme, with a focus on temporary accommodation, Zahra developed and link service data, programme data and finance data to give an overall impact of both the programme’s impact as well savings achieved. This was then connected with qualitative information demonstrating the impact for residents.
